We are currently seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer.  This position will report to the President as part of the Executive Leadership team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Executive Leadership: As an integral part of the executive leadership team, serve as a key partner to the CEO and company leadership in setting the vision, determining direction and implementing strategy.  Interact with senior leaders to provide pertinent information, financial analyses, business advice and process design/improvement.  Lead representative for company in professional business partnerships such as banking, legal, audit and insurance.  Serve as a confidential advisor to the President and CEO.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting procedures, financial reporting and performance analysis, banking relations, and external relationships with auditors and outside counsel.  Work closely with business development and operations to review contracts and assist in establishing an accurate and competitive pricing model for multiple year contracts.  Review and approve sales proposals based upon financial viability. 
  • Talent Management: Coach and develop a strong team of 12, including the Information Technology team. Direct the full lifecycle of Finance and IT staff development including recruitment, hiring, training, managing, coaching and terminating when appropriate.  Foster a culture that promotes employee engagement and teamwork.  Coach and enable staff to effectively interact with all departments.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the company is in compliance with all finance, accounting and business requirements in the United States and Canada. 
  • Customer Service: Is the heart of our organization and top priority.  Respect for customers, employees, outside partners and all other constituents, coupled with professional and ethical behavior is expected at all times.

Qualifications Include:

  • At least 15 years progressive experience in accounting and finance culminating into a strategic CFO role for a mid-market to large company. Experience in public accounting is preferable. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.  An advanced degree in a related field is desirable. 
  • A CPA is required.
  • A strong leadership record with demonstrated excellence at building and engaging a high performing team.
  • Experience managing banking and external advisor relations.
  • Service industry experience is preferable.

  • A strategic mindset, solid analytical skills and a strong eye for finance and risk are required.  Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements. 
  • Must excel in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment and take on new responsibilities as necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, inclusive of the ability to interact and work well across all levels of the company.  Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills are expected.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, while demonstrating the ability to delegate tasks appropriately and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflict in a fair and consistent manner. 
  • Is a team player who is willing and able to adapt their approach across a diverse employee base and is able to handle challenges from others.
  • Must be open and flexible to ideas and suggestions from others.
  • Operates within the highest of ethical standards.
  • Ability to grasp technology, understanding the capabilities of accounting systems. Self-sufficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
